Criterion Collection - February 2026 Releases
Network

February is here, and quite a few gems are coming to the Criterion Collection. Among them is Sidney Lumet's Network, which I'll be talking about in more detail below. It's an incredible film, and if you haven't seen it, you're in for a treat. Some of the other standouts are a 4K release of the original 3:10 to Yuma (which I watched yesterday and enjoyed quite a bit), and the 4K debut of Jacques Tati's masterpiece Playtime. It actually took me a few different watches to get on the wavelength Playtime operates at, but once you understand what the movie is attempting, you begin to understand the machinations behind it.

I've talked about a few releases already, but I haven't even mentioned the Coen Brothers' movie that is coming to collection. I've never seen The Man Who Wasn't There, but I'd certainly like to catch up with it sometime, and I imagine this new release will be a wonderful opportunity to do so.

Usually in February or March, Criterion hosts a 24-hour flash sale on its website. I'd be willing to bet it's either going to coincide with the release of Network or they'll wait until Martin Scorsese's Killers of the Flower Moon makes its physical media debut late March.
